I had this email today which I just had to share with you! Sookie was Joy and Tylers kitten from last year.........................................
Hi Tanya, apologies for not being in touch recently, I can't believe it's August already! Anyway I thought I'd let you know that Sookie is 'ragdoll of the week' on one of the websites I really like, there are lots of pictures of her and some stories if you'd like to see how she is doing. http://www.floppycats.com/sookie-ragdoll-of-the-week.html Also I take so many photos that I decided to start my own blog, so Sookie and Mr Darcy now have their own site! It's only a bit of fun but I'm quite enjoying it and some people have even sent me their own pictures to do a story on. If you know of anyone as mad about cats as me who'd like to show off their cats, please do point them in my direction! I hope you and the family are all keeping well, I still enjoy seeing your updates on all of the kitties on the blog. Laurawww.kitcaboodles.blogspot.com=^..^=

Update on Molly ( Herbie's Sister)
Just a bit of back ground on Molly's new home she went to join a red point Ragdoll , Goose, who was very depressed after having lost his litter mate , Mavirick to HCM. It had been very distressing to everybody in the family as he had his fatal attack while he was alone at home with Goose, When Laurey arrived home poor Maverick was in such pain the only thing the vets could do was put him to sleep. Goose then as his brother had to under go numerous test to check he wasn't in danger of suffering the same fate. So when they came to us it was very important that Molly was HCM negative to guard against any further distress for all concerned. They were very nervous when taking Molly home as how Goose would take to her as the new girl.
However this is the email I received yesterday with the photo's:-
As I said in the text Molly is wonderful. She loves being with Goose and also following us around wherever we go. She loves playing fetch - she has a little duck teddy which she brings to you when she wants to play. She has a big appetite and her and Goose wake me up every morning without fail asking for brekkie! She loves talking to us and I literally cannot do anything without her playing - when I sweep the floors in the morning she hangs off the brush, she hangs off my hand when I use the floor wipes, she grabs the washing when I am getting in ready to go in the washing machine, she just does not stop, ha, ha.

How could anyone even think of doing this!
If you'e ever thought that declawing might be an option , please think again apart from the fact it is illegal in uk . it's barbaric and make me feel sick at the thought that anyone could mutilate there beloved pet in this way , it may be illegal in England but it is not uncommon in USA! See a few fact at http://bit.ly/aFKUQb .

Herbie Update!
Herbie was 5 months old on Tuesday, I can’t believe how quickly the time is going! He’s doing well. He’s extremely inquisitive and playful. He also loves biting my feet and hands In the mornings, he loves snuggling into my face and always tries to lick and nibble my nose! He follows me everywhere and loves drinking out of my ensuite tap! I bought him a water fountain recently which he loves. I have attached some pictures so you can see how he’s growing. Natalie x
Sad News!
Had some very sad news yesterday one of Dora's babies from last year , has been killed on the road, it was a fair distance from his home and his owner felt far enough to be safe, they live down a very quiet lane that only leads to the church! but unfortunately to Milo 's cost it was not.
this is the note I received from poor Jo.
"I am devastated to tell you that we lost Milo on the road early this morning. We are so upset. He went out very early and we think he crossed the busy road when it was v quiet... I have never seen them venture that way before.
Anyway, so sorry we didn't look after your baby properly.. :(
I am spending a lot of time with Monty to make sure he is ok, he is meowing a little bit around the house, so I guess he is calling for Milo. They used to play together out in the long grass and it’s heart-breaking to see him all alone. "
I am sure like me your thoughts go out to Jo, John , Harry and of course Monty ( who has lost his brother) who are all understandably heartbroken at the lost of their beloved Milo, Please be careful for your babies sake when and where they are roaming , as it may be further than you think and they are really to gorgeously daft and innocent that they can get themselves into all sorts of trouble some that can be fatal!
May I also point out if you have a multi cat household and you lose one for whatever reason, I have found it does help if you can allow the others to see and sniff the body, otherwise they can get very stress looking for their buddy not knowing what has happened to them.

All Joy's 5 kitten's are doing reallywell, 2 are now reserved! Their eye's are now open although of course it will take sometime before they can really focus properly, they have now moved into looking like alien cubs! Despite how it looks in the photo the littlest kitten is not being strangled his boy is fully supported and he is leaning on my thumb!

Announcing New Arrivals
I’m please to announce that Joy’s litter of kittens have arrived today! As with all my girls this is the only opportunity to purchase her kittens in 2011. As they were only born this afternoon, I do not yet know what sex they are only that, as always with the mating between her and Tyler, they will be really fluffy blue points. Keep an eye for photo’s over the coming weeks! The photo's are of Joy and her kittens from her 2010 litter.

Handsome but Grumpy cat who needs new home!
I have had this email from the owner of 2 of my ragdoll kittens "We have been having problem with Otis over the past few months, his bevaviour has been getting worse, he is bullying the kittens, lashing out of Harrison and making everyone miserable. We are taking the hard and painful decision to look at having him re-homed as he is obviously very unhappy with both the kittens and also Harrison. He is a one person cat and likes to be alone. I thought I would ask you if you know anyone that would perhaps want to take on a miserable ogre of a cat?!! "
Otis is and enormous cat , he is defiantly a loner who likes his own company and to be outside or knapping on the sofa. He has defiantly been upset by the arrival of a baby and although he tolerated and even allowed them to knap with him he has now decided he should put the 7 month old kittens in thier place - preferably nowhere near him!!! He may just feel misunderstood where he is, although I can't promise that!!!!!!! But if you think you would like to home this big boy then please contact me and I will put you in touch with Jo his owner.

Watch out ! watch out! There's a fox about!
I have recently had one of my owner friends, Lisa, tell me an awful story that happened to Maisie one of my kittens , now 2 years old. They were all out in the garden of there town home one evening in September at about 6 o'clock, when Maisie who had been near a boarder let out a horrific scream, They rushed over to find a fox had her!! Luckily they managed to get her away from it, although her leg was damaged. This fox had been being feed by people and had got quite brave! When she asked around she discovered several cats in the vicinity had gone missing never to be seen again. Very Concerning and another good reason to keep your cats inside!! Maisie has recovered but it took some time as although it wasn't broken it was very bruised and battered. So she was limping for sometime but she had a very lucky escape.

HELP!!!!

HELP! I need a permanent loving home for two full grown neutered Ragdolls, they must go together as they have never been apart. They are my Precious’s only set of kittens and have been living a life of luxury , unfortunately Charlie who owns them is relocating with her husband to Oman for 2-4 years and after much heart wrenching has decided it would be unfair on the pair to take them with them, as although they have pet passports, they do not recognize them over there so they would have to go into Quarantine for 6 months, which is not fair on the pair who are going to be 6 in September They are very big handsome lads and have been much pampered. They are very loving and lovable, up to date with all vaccinations and neutered,They come with all toys, litter trays etc. The only cost involved will be the fuel for me to collect from Cornwall , which according to the RAC calculater is approx £300!

Announcing Missy and Sopretty's litters!!!
Missy has had 5 kittens, on Saturday the 5th March, 2 girls and 3 boys blue points and mitted although yet to know whether any of the girls are tortie's yet. She is an old hand and all went well. However , it was not the same for poor Sopretty! She had to have an emergency C-section on Monday the 7th March. as she only had a single kitten for her first pregnancy , it was now well over due and the placenta was breaking up! So we had no choice, the little kitten was very weak and it was touch and go for a few days, but luck was on our side and after 4 days of supplementary feeding every few hours on my side and lots on motherly loving we turned the corner and the tortie kitten started to put on weight. Now everybody is about the same weight, strong and appears to be doing well. Sopretty is fostering the smallest of Missy's kittens a blue point boy which works well for everyone.
