I have just found this written by a Ragdoll breeder. If you are thinking of breeding or just want to know why pedigree kittens cost so much I think this explains most of it. http://www.bengalcatforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t

Missy went to live with Natasha , Lois and their Ragdoll that they already had from me, Oakley and Squirley (Levi). She has settled in well and is part of the family as this photo shows. I'm so pleased that she has a great loving retirement home! With lots of hugs , love and freinds just as she deserves. If you have a wish to offer an older Ragdoll a home please contact me as I occational have friends who require homes but also do work with the Ragdoll Rescue who are always looking for loving homes for cats in their care.

Smudgekin finally had her kitten on Wednesday 6.6.12 ! It weighed in at 125gms so enormous, and over due as I suspected. A difficult birth for her as a first timer but she has settled into being a mum, not sure of the sex yet but appears to be a Cream .Doing well weighing in at 177gms this morning!
