KT's birth update

KT had one very large kitten yesterday, it weighs the same as Miaha’s kittens that are 4 days old! She managed it  naturally, thank goodness, and they are both doing very well today feeding constantly I am not sure of the sex yet  but it is very white so I think it is going  to be a red if a boy or Tortoiseshell if a girl. It will be fun to watch the colour develop over the weeks as it could be a point or a bi-colour! Photo's to follow in due course.

Things have been busy here!

Miaha has had her 5 kittens,on the 6th of September who may look like hamsters now but in a few weeks they will look as cute as the cover girls from our calendar , who was from her first litter

Nem's and  and Joy's Kittens are now 9 weeks old, all passed their first vet check and were little darlings during their vaccinations . All have homes which are getting excited to receive them in a months time.Boris

Nem, Boris and Beau

Joy's 5 are so identical that i have had to mark them with different coloured sharpies to ensure the right kitten getts to the right family!

Alice has gone to her new home with Rita and Bill, although she'll be back at the weekend for some bonding time with her soon to be sister Rosie from Joy's litter

Anyway must leave you now as  KT is at my feet insisting that we go to our bed as she is in labour! Fingers crossed for us as she is only having one very large kitten which is dangerous thing for both mum and baby.

I'm so happy Elphie is back!

I don't know where she'd been but she walked in this afternoon, hungry and smelling musky a bit like a lawn mower shed (may be). She is now grounded for at least two weeks! I am so pleased, I kept popping in to check she was actually home and that I'd not dreamed it! The worst bit was the not knowing whether she was alive or dead or worse still lying somewhere injured. I will sleep well for the first time in over a week now I know she is safe.

Elphie's gone missing !

Starting to Panic Elphie still not home!!! I've been calling and calling and put out notes and roamed the street, but not seen her since late Saturday afternoon. Every time she's been out before she sticks close to home and comes running when I call. I can't bear it!! Bless him Derek ever searched the field last night! I've called Vets and RSPCA centre! What next? I have been out at 6 this morning roaming the streets shaking her biscuits! To no avail . Even been up into the signal mans office at the station to look down the line just in case. But still no sign of anyth
ing! Had a good sob but know that doesn't help anyone, So now have Called  all  the local vets , Cats Protection , council  and will visit Tara's rescue and RSPCA today! Feel so bloody hopeless. I know this is why they are house cats but she has not moved far from the house before but it only takes once folks! :( I am now off down the village with posters for anywhere that will put them up!

Alice

Alice was a poorly little girl at the beginning of the week but a trip to the vets for medication and she is back to her naughty self. She is bossing everybody around. Insisting cats and people join into what ever game she has decided to play! She exhausted her self and had to sit down awhile so I managed to capture a few photos to share.

New Home Needed, Can you help?

I am looking for permanent loving home for Elphie. She is a very large Blue point girl, one of Joy's babies of 3 years ago. She has a lovely nature and is very loving  and will follow you around adoringly when she knows you. Unfortunately due to a relationship break up she now needs re-homing. She need a home as a sole pet , as she is unhappy with other animals  around her. If you would like to come and meet her drop me an email tanya@tzkatz.co.uk or give me a ring 01354680038.

now 3 weeks old! Nem's and Joy's Kittens

Update on my babies

Alice is now 5 1/2 weeks old and doing brilliantly with both eating ( although she does get it everywhere, hence the just washed face in the photo) and litter training ,no accidents for a while all in the litter tray. She is growing to a big strong girl weighing in at approx 550g! She is going to have a fab thick coat and be the spitting image of her Grandma , SoPretty. She is a typical only child slightly precocious always want to help! on this occasion she is ripping the bottom out of the dirty litter bag! but you can't be cross when she looks so cute!

Nem's little ones are so cute they are now 8 days old and doing well they will all be mitted either blue or blue tabbies. There colours are starting to show. Let's hope they are as beautiful as their Mum!

Joy is very pleased with herself, with just cause she has 5 beautiful blue point babies that are now 6 days old and feeding constantly

Pookey is such clever boy!

Pookey is just 15 weeks old and he has already learnt to play fetch with his favourite toy  that he took with him from our home when he left to live with Amy.

Such a Nice text

I had to share this lovely text I had from Kirsty who has Dora and Tylers seal mitted girl Issabelle, it made me so happy, it was so nice to get this sort of feedback :-
"First 24hrs a roaring success, cuddles, sleeping in bed, litter box achieved and a very impressive play time with Luke with back flips and aerial attacks. We couldn't  be happier! Thank you so much, she's perfect x"

Kittens everywhere!

Well Joy's babies finally arrived this afternoon. She has had 5 little darlings who are all now bonding in the spare bedroom. Sorry no photos yet.
Nem's babies are now resident in my craft room and the 3 are doing well, so much so I got a photo for you all today. At 2 days old.
Smudgkin and her kitten Alice moved into the bathroom yesterday . So that Alice could start on Solid foods with out getting a carpet messy. She is a fat little baby weighing in at 500g at a month old! The advantage of being a single kitten with an attentive mother!

Surprise!

I heard little meews from the Bathroom this morning  . Opened the door to find Nem , my blue mitted Tabby, who was not  looking very pregnant and I didn't think was due more than one kitten until next week .Had given birth to 4 little ones! Unfortunately one was on the bathroom floor and was a bit chilly. I feel so guilty as I am always there for them at the birth! However she had done so well, they were all spotlessly clean as was she!

The one that I found out of the box this morning who was cold is still hanging in but not looking hopeful at this stage not much I can do but say a little prayer, cross my fingers and wait and see what's happened in the morning :( Hard but I have learnt that I won't do it any favours if I try to intervene at this stag and there is something wrong inside it just prolongs the agony with the same ultimate result. What will happen is what is meant to be, but the fact it appears to still be chilly and not too interested in feeding is not hopeful , although they all weigh between 92 and 95gms so not bad weights.

I will keep you all updated either way

Sunday 8th July pm.   Feeling Sad! Nem now only has 3 babies, who are doing really well but had to have one put to sleep because it had a clef pallet, Very sad but best thing we could do  for the poor darling, as it was unable to feed or be fed . It was the worse on our vet had seen in many years of practice and no way they could repair it.
