So much to tell you!

I know it's been an age since I have posted but things have been hectic at Tzkatz! KT has had a kitten - Georgie Porgie! Well he has to be call George he was born to Katie on the 22nd July along as was our new Prince!
Not the best of photos but he is a very busy chap and always on me move , usually between food bowls!

Miaha had six kittens on the 24th July, so KT helped by raising two until they were 4 weeks old when they all moved down into the conservatory together . She had two blue mitted boys and 4 blue points , two each sex , all very cute and friendly always getting into mischief as they explore downstairs!

an interesting position for an afternoon Nap!

Angel then had three little cherubs, 2 seal point boys and a seal point Tortie girl on the 6th of August! so we have a house full of hungry mouths to feed and tinkers to clear up after it's wonderful.

Yep ! Angel had her kittens in the Bathroom towel cupboard , however it won't be long before they move down stairs as they are eating well.

Miaha's kittens from Last year Charlie,Oscar, Archie, Toffle and Khurfu all have turned one ! I went to visit Toffle recently and he has grown into a very handsome enormous boy absolutly gorgeous and knows how to celebrate his birthday is style!

Where as Oscar and Archie were far more laid back about it all, although they had the most amazing birthday present a new run straight from the house!

Lucky boys!

Life has been busy!

So sorry I've not updated you all recently but I have been kept busy with my little darlings as well as my new job so have had no time to keep you all posted! They are growing fast and Derek managed to catch a couple of nice shots today which I thought I ought to share with you all.

12th May photo update

So difficult to get a photo of them now as they are constantly on the move!
Flossy's darling girl is a cutie (reserved for Tamsin , Robin and Gabriel)

Tinkz's Boy is going to be a stunner and has won the hearts for Sandy and Mark

Tiigy's little seal tabby boy is a little character . He has had a bit of a poor start, but is coming on leaps and bounds now. However, he will be with us for a while longer than the rest until I an sure his fit for a new home. He is totally adorable, so it'll be no hardship to have him around ( only hope I can part with him when the time comes)! I've nicknamed him Snuffles as as soon as he gets near me, he starts loud snuffling for milk as despite now being on solids, he expects to be bottle fed whenever possible ( ever 4 hours still!)

Tiggy's Blue tabby girl is going to Germany to live with my dear friend Sue who's only came to view them but fell in love!- I am sure you can see why she won her heart!

Tiggy's seal boy is a real bruiser, into everything, first out of the cage and today climbed up the side of the bed, he'll be going to  Robyn  and Alex in Brighton

Tinkz baby is Enormous!

Tinkz baby is so big just had to share a couple of photo's taken today , I am sure he is sucking his thumb!

Our First show- 27th March 2013 - Wood Green- Cambridge and Bedford cat club shows

Lola and I went to our first ever show yesterday. The girl did good at her first show! Lola got a third in her breed class. The cat in the next cats is one of Tyler and Joy's kitten, she got a 2nd in her miscellaneous class. So a good day was had by us all. Worth the 6 o'clock start. Thanks to Natasha , Janna and Sheila for coming along to support us.

Apart from Mimi  Mary had brought along the other Kitten she had from me, Pepe,( our name for him was Boris! ) he's doing very well in the shows he did Swanley a couple of weeks ago and got a first in his Breed class. He did me, Mary and himself proud , he got a 1st and 3rd in his breed classes and then a 2nd and another 3 x 3rds in the miscellaneous classes! He is Aslan and Nem's kitten, one of the only 3 kittens she will ever have, turned out good! Sheila who has Darcy Pepe's brother came along to the show and showed us photo's of her handsome boy who is enormous weighing in at 18Lbs and able to stand up and see what in on the kitchen sides! They are not a year until July!

So I am now the breeder of show winning cats!
I am now thinking of taking Angel to the show at Wood Green in May to see what they think of her!

They grow so fast! Tinks baby is a week old and the others are coming up 3!

Tinkz's baby weighed in at 189 g this morning and it's only  a week old until today!

Happy families!

Flossy's little one is a girl! She is going to be the spit of her mother and is now doing fantastically. As I always need one to worry about Tiggy has a little one, snuffles, who has a  an upper respiratory infection who needs extra feeds ( including through the night) as he can't suck with a blocked nose as he has to breath through his mouth mainly. We have visited the vets twice in the last week and he is now on antibiotics! However, he has put on a little weight over the weekend , but this morning he seems to have gone down hill again which is very disappointing but you know me, I will keep trying despite sleepless nights to give him every chance of pulling through.

16.4.13 Tinkz's baby arrives!

Tinkz's baby ( yep slight disappointment she only had a single kitten this year, but Darwin , the stud, is getting on Bless him!) He may looked tiny but he weighed in at 122g!
All the little darlings are doing well and growing up fast.

She may not be Flossy's kittens birth mum but she has accepted it as her own so that has got to deserve a kiss, so sweet!

They are all starting to open their eyes and to explore  the basket ! One even managed to fall out of the basket today and was staggering around the cage when I went in to see them late morning!

When you are eating as well as they are, even Flossy's kitten is weighing in at 250g ( the rest are about 30g heavier), you need your sleep to grow, and what better way to do it but in a huddle cuddle!

Monday 8th April and all's well

It' s been touch and go for Flossy's little one since his birth, it lost some much weight but yesterday morning he got up to birth weight and decided that it would feed well from both Mum's as well asthe supplement   feeds a good sign that his strength is growing, that and the fact when I weighed him before his feed ,he weighed more than the time before. He weighed in at 129gms this morning so fingers crossed we are moving in the right direction and the night Broken  nights I've had to feed him are paying off.

New babies, have arrived!

Poor Flossy had to have an emergency c-section on Tueday. Produced a single male kitten, who despite being poorly has made it through it's first night , with feeds from me, and has actually tried feeding from Flossy. Very early to say anything but fingers and toes crossed! However, today the news isn't so good! Flossy is ok but her little one isn't doing so well, it rallied yesterday and was feeding from her well, but hasn't fed much during the night and didn't want made up milk really at last two night feeds, so I am not too hope full
Tiggy's News

Tiggy went into labour at 1pm this morning,  then the fun started as she really wanted to be in the same box as Flossy, so a box had to be placed close enough so they could touch, there were 3 at 3pm! I think we have more to come but Tiggy had produced 3 big squeaky babies quite naturally! Thank goodness. By four forty another 2 had arrived. After many attemps to keep them apart I had to give in, so as the girls were desperate to be in together I have put them all in one cage ( with door open, of course) I put in the big dog bed and they are all in together, so at least little flossy's one will be warm and comfortable and might even perk up and feed.

Flossy's kitten has the Blue heart on it's head as you can see it is about the same size as the new born kittens  as it wasn't due until at least tomorrow!

POISONOUS PLANTS

As we are all about to start thinking of what to grow , if it ever stops being winter! I thought I would post this list of  plants poisonous to cats that must be avoided if there are cats in your home. Note that lilies(*), in particular, are dangerous to cats. While in some cases, just parts of a plant (bark, leaves, seeds, berries, roots, tubers, spouts, green shells) might be poisonous, this list rules out the whole plant. If you must have any of them, keep them safely out of reach. Should your cat eat part of a poisonous plant, rush the cat to your vet as soon as possible. It would be helpful if you could take the plant
with you for ease of identification.

Babies on the way !!!

A very happy but oh so late New Year to you all, I hope that 2013 is treating you all well.

It has been very hectic this end as after 10 years I have changed jobs, which is a bit of a shock to the system but I have found a job which combines my passion for crafting with my sales ability.  however I shan't go on as I know you've not looked in to see my personal ramblings it is my furry family you want to hear about.

All being well we should have the patter of little furry paws at Easter. We have three pregnant Queens, Flossy and Tiggy who will be having their first litters which is always a bit tense for me, their litters are fathered by my handsome stud Tyler  . We also have  Tinkz  who has been mated with Darwin again this year so we are hoping for stunning kittens like we had last year from this  mating..

So it's a case of watch this space for news of our new arrivals along with the Easter Bunny!

Sad News

I have had some very sad news today !
Pelouche pictured below has had to be put to sleep! He became ill last Wednesday with a high temperature and cough which despite everything,  he was unable to fight and to save him further suffering Tamsin and Robin made the difficult decision to put him to sleep.May he rest in peace.
As I am sure you can all understand they and I, are devastated and in shock. They have taken him home for Beau to see before they bury him in the garden. Big hugs and much heart felt sympathy goes out to them all.

Update on Beau and Pelouche

Tamsin and Robin sent me a few photos of the boys they had from Joy and Nems Litters in June. I could resist popping over to see them in their new home with them and Gabrielle . I had a lovely afternoon last Saturday with Gabrielle filling me in on all their antics, it was lovely to see my babies so obviously happy and settled with their new family.
